Friends of St Giles Hill graveyard need volunteers to help improve the graveyard and to keep it in a good shape.
There are a number of tasks that volunteers can do in the graveyard:
- Cutting vegetation in and around memorials.
- Mowing or strimming.
- Maintain paths.
- Clearing ground ready for sowing seed.
- Shrub planting.
- building dead hedges.
We also need people interested in the history and heritage of the site to investigate burials and family histories to help transform the names on monuments into personalities and keep their memory alive. If you would like to help with this research, please contact us.
